At Living With Water, not only are we tackling flood risk in Hull and the East Riding, but we’re also embracing the benefits of a region surrounded by water.
Our work involves exploring innovative water management systems. As part of this, we collaborate with local communities and global experts to develop our vision for long-term urban water resilience in Hull and the East Riding.
WHAT COULD THIS LOOK LIKE?
Imagine adaptive green spaces that can be used as temporary lagoons for water in the event of heavy rains, and innovative, aspirational eco housing developments and business parks centred around water.
Inspired by stilted Scandinavian homes and Asia’s futuristic ‘green parks’, these would be a ground-breaking UK first – and would aid Hull’s regeneration ambitions.
